Pixel & Porch

Websites, photos, and honest advice for small local businesses

Together, we'll make sure your lights are on.

When a customer looks you up, do you look open? Let's find out.

I help small businesses around Dayton see what customers find when they search for them, and fix the parts worth fixing. I'm just getting started, so my first few clients get a better price.

Free. About 30 seconds, and your results appear on screen while you wait. I'll email you a copy too. I don't spam.

I'm Julie. I've lived in this area my whole life, spent years running big projects for a large company, and I photograph small businesses.

Pixel & Porch is where those come together: helping local owners work out what their online presence needs to do, and building the simplest thing that does it.

What the free check shows you

Think of it as a walk past your storefront at night. I check which windows are lit and which are dark, and I tell you in plain words.

What customers see

What shows up when someone searches your business name, the way they'd actually see it.

What's working and what's off

Your hours, phone number, photos, and reviews, and whether they match from one place to the next.

A few things to fix first

Up to three simple suggestions, starting with the ones you can do yourself for free.

Found

When someone searches your name, what shows up? Your Google listing, your hours, your reviews. I check it the way a customer would, and help you fix what's off.

Photographed

Real photos of your place, your work, and your people, taken by someone who has photographed small businesses for years. Not stock images.

Built simple

A website that does the job and that you can keep up with. No extras you don't need and no complicated setup that quietly becomes a burden.

I'm not here to sell you a website. I'm here to figure out whether you need one, and if you do, what it actually has to do.

Before I build anything, I want to understand your business: what you sell, how customers find you, and where things get stuck for you, your staff, and the people trying to buy from you. Sometimes that points to a full site. Sometimes it's a few pages and a better Google listing. Once in a while it means telling you that you don't need a site yet, and why.

What I do

New this year, so the first few clients get a better price

I'd rather have a handful of local businesses I've really helped than a brochure. The details are on the Get started page. Founding-client details to be decided
